Waking up at 6 am on a Sunday might seem like a laughable idea, but once you reach the once famed and now mysterious Chor Bazaar, you’ll know it’s worth it. As I approached the market, it was noisy, crowded and full of people. Chor Bazaar extends from the lanes of Jama Masjid, reaching way far to the shady Knicks and knacks of Daryaganj. it’s on road-side stalls and thelas every Sunday, even before the sun rises. There is a lot to buy here at cheapest of the prices in the most chaotic of the crowds. Take a look at what all things you can rake in at this out-of-the-world street market. Over here you’ll get everything from Shoes, gym equipment, sports equipment, watches , caps and what not.
Timings start from morning 5:30 am on Sunday’s only
HOW TO REACH?
Chor Bazaar is located opposite to Red Fort, near Jama Masjid. It is always a better idea to go by metro or 2 wheelers cause there is no or very less parking facility available over there. For metro – you have t get down on Chandni Chowk station which is on the yellow line. At the Chandi Chowk station, you will find e-rickshaws which will get you to the chor bazaar or they call it as Sunday bazaar. they chargers 10 per person. however, if you want to save some bucks you can also go there by walking, it is hardly a kilometer from there. I will be linking the exact location below
In Depth Review
This one in particular as its name stand, it’s a bazaar with stolen goods but not all of it. It’s not what it used to be a couple of years back, where it used to truly depict its name. It’s a Bazaar where you get any and everything. First Come First Served, the policy runs deep here too.
This place is basically great if you want to buy shoes. Wide Variety of shoes are available, all the popular once .but you won’t get the exclusive shoes that are not very popular. The good quality shoes range from 800 to 3000 (and it is very much bargainable )INR But I don’t recommend you to buy shoes above 1800 INR Because of the following reason
Reason 1 – they are not original so investing above 2000 can be a bit risky.
Reason 2 – you can easily get an original at this price from factory outlet
Genrally they are of a good quality (INR 800-2000)
Cloths are cheap but you won’t get the trendy stuff. Formal or Party wears clothes are not available.
Beware at that time, you might get pick-pocketed or groped.
. The Delhi chor bazaar has quite a few varieties of shoes in the chor bazaar market. Chor Bazaar in Delhi has Cheap watches and good quality G-shock. I explored the complete place to find out that the fashion clothing is not really fashion and of cheap or average quality. The Cheap 20 rupees – 50 rupees t-shirts won’t last long but would fit any EWS person’s bill perfectly. Chor bazar iPhones and electronics market are situated in Chandni Chowk behind Red Fort. Chor Bazar DSLR are popular but in reality, there are literally no DSLR’s available in Chor Bazaar Delhi. Chor Bazar also has good quality leather cricket bats in chor bazar and GYM equipment available at cheap prices, also a book market to find out your favorite books in DELHI in a fixed Budget at a cheap price. Palika Bazaar and Gaffar Market compared to Chor Bazaar are a lot better as in tidiness variety and timings and venue. So Chor Bazar has been completely exposed by us in this way.
